Some days I pull one or more cards to focus on for the day.
When I say tarot is perfect for personal development I mean it.
It’s a great way to grow by taking whichever card you select and giving you a place of focus.
You can journal about your life.
You may pull a card that says let’s say, get nostalgic. Think about some great moment from your childhood or think about what joyful things you can do to maintain a youthful sprit.
All in all it’s a great mirror into your inner world and can challenge you to deal with deeper things that are causing issues in your external world.
Everyone is doing readings now. Never heard a word about it or anything remotely close to it from some people. Pressed for cash gotta make that money fast. People paying the suddenly spiritual empaths use no discernment. Welp. What a life.
You’ll do yourself a whole lot of good if you cease being so surface when it comes to retrogrades.
You’re doing your self a disservice by regurgitating this, ‘things are going to be all bad during this time’ talk. You give more energy to this with every basic ass meme you share.
You, your mamma and you cousins might just be conjuring Egregore1 and Egregore 2 sans the assistance of the Cat In the Hat.
You realize there’s always a spectrum right? Nothing is black and white.
You’re ignoring the work you should be doing during these retrogrades.
Perhaps if you did all of the work related, when retrogrades roll around things won’t be so terrible.
Perhaps you have talked yourself into a state saying ad nauseum; RETROGRADE BAD!!!
Another example of you creating adverse life circumstance through a belief you cultivated, most likely through ignorance about the actual full spectrum of the situation.
End of the day if you are not studying and practicing you are just going to fall victim to your own words and your mind.
Stop saying FML. Like why would you every utter that stupid shit to begin with?

The teacher appears. I fathom the teacher is ever present, just invisible because perhaps our egos deliberately stand as opaque figures in our respective lines of sight. Or more likely they are cloaked. One is lucky enough to develop a way of thinking early that looks at the puzzle of life as a series of challenges to meet, engage, build a gainful relationship with and ultimately divorce (in some cases.) Enthused by the opportunity to think laterally. To find or even feel the lessons and bliss or both in cognition. The magic that pulses between each breath of thought. A myriad of things may rob one of this chance. Tradition and intelligence often are nefarious participants in what some conspiracist would deem a ruse which purpose is to keep you from a knowing. Funny though, in order for one to know or ‘be’, one has not the time to busy themselves with conspiracy.
There are no shortages of teachers in life, for true living is a constant education.
There are things I know that I’ll only share through being. The accumulated experiences of my life as it pertains to my current incarnation are immense. Irrefutable. Even with that I continue peeling back layers, letting go of all to access all. The catalyst for this thing called ‘enlightenment’ is to simply ask; while being open sans judgement. Open and willing to forget what you think you know and believe and be prepped to really KNOW. To master self is integral. Stripping away worry, fear and doubt… Tapping into your inherent ability to create. Moving like a child with the wisdom of experience. Touching nature. Referring to nature. Not being at odds with it. Not being at odds with you.
I cannot explain to you the experience you must have to know. I cannot give you stillness. I cannot do self-work for you . I’ll only suggest to go within. To study you. To realize what struggle and suffering are in order to overcome these illusions. Do these things so that you may dance with knowing.
I randomly added #februaryfast to a tweet to switch it up from the #fastingforfreedom I began using in 2017. Normally I’d search a hashtag before I use it to see if anyone already has. In this case I’ve decided to just roll with it. Since it’s already popular perhaps more people will actually see what I’m posting and I can engage with others too who are fasting. The hashtag seems to be mostly used in relation to a church event. With that said, my fast is not one of a religious nature, though some would consider me one who fasts religiously. Over the course of the next twenty-eight days I’ll be diving in again.
Fasting is defined as a period of time in which one abstains from food, drink or both. Most commonly done within a religious context. In my case it’s about a re-calibration of mind, body and spirit. A new contract with self. To increase discipline, strength and will power. To build a better relationship with my body. To assess internal issues. To mend and heal. To chart a path to better health and peace of mind. Self work essentially.
Abstaining from foods and drinks is not all that’s involved for me. Not eating or drinking some things over time is cute but you can actually get use to it. Abstaining from other things like sex, smoking, drinking, television, social media etc, increase the power of your fast. For even more depth and life altering results though there is still more one can do. For me introspection is a big part of this process for refinement in pursuit of self mastery. Daily moments going within contemplating life past, present and future comes into play. Stepping outside of my self. Reviewing past experiences with an objective eye. Connecting the dots on reoccurring themes I need to address as well as recognizing growth and my many accomplishments. During a fast I set the tone and program my attitude for future endeavors. I tune up for manifesting things to come.
I share my experiences throughout my fasts to in some ways demystify it. Like many things, fear and ignorance too often keep people away from much that may actually help them. Mind you, you don’t have to do a thing to actually learn from it.

People often ask, ‘what are you reading?’ Or, ‘what have you read?’ Thinking about books that have somehow influenced me over the years or served as vehicles of confirmation; I share with you a short list in parts. In many cases, these books were less guides, more compliments to a style of life I’d already begun living when I came across them, giving me new language to associate with what I’d been practicing. In synchronistic fashion, many literally arrived as if from out of thin air. I love it when that happens.
Books can often unlock that something you’ve been working on. Provide answers to eternal questions and lend much perspective provided that you are open to it. Believe it or not, we have access to all information provided by the books we read that would serve our spiritual growth, for no pertinent information is inaccessible from within. We already know inherently all that we need to know. Only we don’t remember this fact that we do. Basically, books serve as reminders as do mentors, teachers, ministers, gurus etc. Your ability to siphon bits of information from external sources for your benefit also is integral. Learning that you can’t always judge a book by it’s cover is key. The longevity of that cliche is anchored in undeniable truth.
The books listed are in no particular order. Only as to which came to mind first.
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra is one of those texts that magically appeared to me. I will affirm that I attracted it, after hearing an artist speak of it in a song multiple times. While I’d never read it before I was aware of it and listened to an audio version years before. Hearing it mentioned on record made me seek out that audio version again on Youtube. After a few days of it being refreshed in my mind I stumbled upon a hardcover edition on a table full of books. The funny thing is, I’d surveyed the table thoroughly and did not see it. Only to engage another book on the table, turn to ask for a price and look back down to see it staring right back up at me. All I can say is it had to have materialized before me. I don’t bother questioning it. I’m left with the great memory of that moment. http://amzn.to/2CQmwo1
The Four Agreements.
Not sure when The Four Agreements made it’s way into my life. There is nothing to dispute, refute or debunk in this work. The four statements it is based on are as follows:
Be Impeccable with your Word
Don’t Take Anything Personally
Don’t Make Assumptions
Always Do Your Best
To me these all seems like common sense words to live by. Books are reminders indeed. While the four agreements are listed above, I suggest giving the book a read for maximal benefit. http://amzn.to/2E7L1wf
tuesday’s with Morrie
I found Tuesdays With Morrie on the seat inside of a bus shelter in Harlem well over a decade ago. Recently I revisited it after sharing a bit of the story with a friend who after I mentioned it to her gifted me a copy. In reading it a second time I noticed how much of what was discussed by the characters (real life people) had been and still is a part of the way I live. It was quite an introspective time tunneling experience revisiting my state of being between the first and second reading. I didn’t let an Oprah Winfrey book club seal detour me from reading. Part of my growth has been learning to appreciate every bit of Oprah. Non judgement. Deepak taught me 😉 http://amzn.to/2CRiTyd
I’ll take a break here so you can go and order the books mentioned above. Please use my referral link if you do plan on purchasing. I’ll return with part two shortly. I have some words to share about pulling wisdom from unexpected places and learning that in life if you’re truly observant and seek wisdom, well you can find it everywhere.
Oh and if you haven’t already gotten #MyClearBook package of ebooks and audio, now is the perfect time while you’ve got your wallet out. For less than the price of lunch get access to them immediately! If not for you, as a gift.
When I was a kid if you gave me a pair of socks I was thrilled and appreciated it. Some may even remarked I was overly appreciative. I don’t believe that’s even possible. Gratitude has always been major in my life. No one specifically taught me to be grateful in that way. Only through life experience did I come to fully overstand the significance of gratitude in the life equation. A big part of manifestation is channeled through the feeling that comes with gratitude. A raise in vibration makes you more magnetic for attraction. I know that when I’m grateful, I am thinking about great things and visualizing abundance. A shift of focus from the default for many of us. Thoughts of lack and everything being terrible. That’s false. Things can be terrible in many cases for some people, but everything is not. We must be mindful of what we focus on. To go to sleep with thoughts of gratitude and to wake up with the thought of I’m grateful for this day I’m going to embark on, are essential if you indeed plan on crafting a life full of what you want. But before you go fabricating this master of list of requests to the Universe, God, Source or whatever you choose to call it, be sure you recount all that you have in the present moment to be grateful for. Be present and acknowledge what that feels like. Examine how it changes your mood. It’s a great tool. Use it often. Master it.

I briefly had a site up starting in 2007 called “Life’s Magic”. It’s funny looking back and seeing what my approach has been to become more aware and advance forward in this journey. I think about the reality that I’ve created for myself, through my words, thoughts and actions of the past. Looking at this post from my former site, nearly a decade ago, I see how much of these things have come to pass.

For those of you who haven’t, let me be the first to introduce you to a simple method of bringing what you want in life to the forefront so that you can better attain these desires. (My focus has never been on material riches, perhaps being independently sound and or financially secure so don’t expect anything of a get rich nature being spoken of).
Alright here’s the exercise. It’s incredibly simple. Take a moment. Grab a pen and a piece of paper or open up a notepad file. Now, write down what it is that you truly want for yourself, your family, friends or generally the world around you. Your intentions are powerful when they are pure and genuine. When doing this exercise, anchor the intentions you list by saying, ‘I choose’ or ‘I intend to’. You are setting a precise precedent for what you will ultimately create in this present moment. The following is an example of a list I recently made for myself that I sent to my companion. Oftentimes we need to remind ourselves what it is that we want and in order to regain focus, seeing these things right in front of us is helpful in getting us back on track.
I choose to walk the path of least resistance.
I choose to create peace and tranquility for myself and others.
I choose to lift my energy vibration to a constant level to continually create the things that I desire.
I choose to be motivated and motivate others regardless of what the rest of the world is doing.
I choose to be a beacon of strength for my companion.
I choose to be patient with those trying to make changes in their lives.
I choose to be aware.
I choose to share unconditional love and understanding with my companion.
I choose to be happy. I choose to be grateful.
I choose to be clear in mind and remove all clutter from thoughts.
I choose to be selfless and generous.
I choose to listen intently to those that need an ear.
I choose to magnify all that is progressive that I discover or I am informed about.
I choose to be an example to those in doubt of what power we have and can execute if we put our hearts into it.
I choose to follow my hearts desire no matter how foolish, strange or irrelevant others may think it is.
I choose to be an encouraging and motivational being in the life of the woman I love.
I choose to be a reminder of what can be and will be once we decide to focus and manifest what we want.
I choose to follow through with all endeavors that I started and complete all task that have some how come to a halt.
I choose to be one with the moment and acknowledge that greatness that we encounter daily but tend to overlook in our haste to be busy.
I choose to remove all traces of doubt, worry, anger and confusion realizing that these things only help to contribute to the slowing of my growth and potential to create momentous things in the present.
I choose to love everything that you are and strive to be.
I choose to be your provider of a constant source of love that you can pull from at any moment.
I hope that wasn’t too long. I really wanted to share something that has been very helpful to me with you.
Have fun with this exercise. Do not feel pressured to write the longest intention list ever written. No, the main purpose is to use this method to get you lined up and square with those things in life that you want to create for yourself. Not later or the next week. Right now. Once you realize your power and begin to exercise it, it will grow and become stronger. Like the fitness gurus would assure you before a focused and intensive fitness program, ‘You will see results!’.
Enjoy this exercise and share it with someone that you care about. Steel sharpens steel. Sharing anything that helps you will only serve to help others and create more power to affect change in your immediate life circle.
I’m writing thank you letters today. Why? Well for a few reasons, all of which are interconnected. There’s but so much I can get accomplished in a day if my mind is running in a million and one directions. Think of it as the notorious Windows operating system. If you check the processes running in the background along with programs you have open, add to that malicious software that may have crept past your trusty firewall, oftentimes you end up with a slow and stagnant working environment. Once you’ve purged those threats to your hard drive and have done a little maintenance to optimize your pc’s performance, you’re ready to get back up to speed and knock out any tasks that need to be handled. Writing thank you letters for me sort of works the same way.
It’s rather easy to be detoured from your path and focus by situations in life that snowball from what was once something simple that could have easily been resolved, but left to marinate it somehow mushroomed into a tangible tension. If we take our focus away from these issues and redirect our attention towards being grateful and step outside ourselves to praise others, we gradually remove the tension. We change our vibration. By writing notes to friends, family and whomever we share a positive energy to brighten the day for another individual.
So as an exercise today, I am writing thank you letters to everyone that comes to mind. The actual thought and preparation for this has already adjusted my temperament and has given me a nice feeling to begin my day with. The anxiety and stress I felt upon waking has almost magically vanished.
