When you wake up in the morning, what is the first thing that you do? Do you open your eyes and give thanks? Do you immediately look over at your phone and check for texts, emails or phone messages? Do you get upset that you have to get out of the bed and go to work? Are you excited because another day has arrived giving you the opportunity to live, be active, create an enjoyable and memorable experience? Do you believe in your power or that you even have power?
Just some random questions… Of course, you do not have to answer them. I ask myself questions like these from time to time.

I give thanks for another day – stretch and roll out of bed with plans of abundance and joy! As my favorite quote says “How you spend your days is how you spend your life.” (A. Dilliard) so I keep that in my mind all day long and try and live with enthusiasm, joy, curiosity, patience and love. Do I fall short sometimes – sure – but that is the way of life and so I deal and move on…..I really do live a blessed and charmed life…..peace.

One of the best things I added to my morning routine a handful of years ago was three minutes of basic stretching. Nothing crazy, just something to get the creaks and cracks out. It automatically makes me feel better because I’m not so tight.
Also, I turn my phone off at night. When I turn it on in the morning I delete all the junk emails, so when I sign on to the computer I only have what’s necessary waiting for me.

I have to be honest, I do check my phone! But on the weekends my son comes into my room to say good morning before he watches cartoons — so I give thanks to spend another day with him!
Weekdays I have to wake him up.

I usually thank God that I was just dreaming. Except for the time that I woke up in Central Booking…then I just pleaded with God to get me out of there!
