revisting a recent poem…

I was on Facebook earlier and revealed to a reader of the site what I was saying in this piece… a poem

It was basically saying we know what we need to know.. Our memories are bad due to many variables but, we are capable of progress and growth. Also that we have to consider our place in this universe, we are not separate from it… we are it

Believe In You

Yesterday I changed my header. If you follow me online or know me personally chances are you’ve come to recognize that most everything I do has some deliberate purpose. I don’t rhyme for the sake of riddling and I’m careful for the most part with the language I use when interacting with people. Over the years I’ve come to the point of being able  to freely share my triumphs as well as my defeats. I have nothing to hide. I am not a perfect man but I am surely not ashamed in anyway of the man that I am. I am unapologetic about my love for living. I will continue to be so until I have evolved into my next state of being.

Recently I took a pretty animated photo and made it my kind of new image that floats about the internet on various social networks. It’s a picture of me that basically looks like I’m screaming on a street corner. The responses from many have been very positive. Some folks said they thought it was cool, others identified with the image in many ways and internalized their interpretations of what the photograph symbolized to them. I’m a scientist. I think we all are. My experiment worked. I wanted to do something simple that made people react. Sharing this image created multiple dialogs. People were sharing their feelings and thoughts with me.
